What a Verified Seller badge means
Verification is designed to help buyers distinguish authenticated participating sellers from ordinary observed sources. It confirms a business and inventory relationship with MSI; it does not guarantee any transaction, product condition, price, or outcome.
What MSI may verify
- Business identity and company website/domain
- An authorized company contact
- Control of, or permission to provide, the inventory source MSI uses
- The active contributor relationship and approved ingestion method
What verification does not mean
A badge is not an endorsement or warranty. MSI does not guarantee seller performance, availability, delivery, authenticity, product condition, pricing, or the outcome of a transaction.
Verification also does not change how MSI calculates market signals or automatically place a seller above other organic results.
Paid verification may be introduced later
MSI may eventually offer an optional paid Verified Seller program with enhanced profiles, inventory freshness monitoring, analytics, or other seller tools.
Payment would support the verification and seller-service layer. It would not buy a more favorable market signal or alter the underlying methodology.
Start as a contributor
The contributor program is free. Verification is a separate trust layer that MSI can build on top of an established contributor relationship.
